Wednesday Two of Vacation
Jan. 3rd, 2010 11:51 amAfter Sam got-up from bed and I got-up from the couch, we went to 1369 Coffeehouse. Inwardly I was amused when a barista greeted him by name. I had pecan pie with whip cream and coffee with milk. Then we parted, him for work and me for Harvard so could go to Watertown Square and meet-up with the ex.
So of course I wandered into the Darwin's Ltd. on Cambridge St., txted Sam, and got a txt back about, what's the perfect follow-up to coffee? More coffee! (which I had black this time.) I didn't see many outlets so I let Icarus run on battery power and spent my initial time online checking http://www.indiecoffeeshops.com to see if Darwin's Ltd. was listed and then submitted suggestions to list both locations.
Finally stopped having coffee and taking pictures of the place and went to Watertown Square. Hung around for a bit before any cooking of the bacon for the 12th Annual Bacon Day party I was going to. Ate 15.5 pieces before going to the Hibernian Hall that was used for the related-show. (One piece was rolled-up, but had a bit of a handle to hold, so I called it bacon mistletoe and ate off of it with a guy.) Got to meet one of the ex's friends from his tales of local bands he's told me about. Came across one of the guys I've met through Poly Boston. Had more food, usually with bacon in it. One of the songs in the "Walter Sickert and His Army of Broken Toys" set had to have one half of the audience yell "off" and then the other half yell "head." Right after that song, we somehow segued to yelling "Lisa needs braces" and "dental plan," respectively.
Afterwards at the hosts' house, there was a party. A bit before 12:40 AM, I threw-up. Only reason I had another piece of bacon before I went to bed was because it was stiff and straight and being joked around with by being held in front of the pants like an erect penis. *chomp*
