Writer's Block: Meow vs. Arf

[Error: unknown template qotd]Cats.  I know them well enough to have the shy, withdrawn ones come to me.  Meanwhile, I can't always figure-out what kind of bark a dog is barking and have had enough negative experiences to have to take them individually.

I sort of can't deal with the level of verbal violence that dog owners think is acceptable amongst civilized beings.

I'll send you into homes with dogs first. Give me a chance to calm-down, even if it's tail is wagging and it's just chilling. (A chunk of them warm-up to me before I can do the same.)

I've at least been told by rat people that when it feels like the rat is vibrating or it's eyes are boggling, it likes me and feel like it can relax. Normally I ask this when I'm holding said rat. I'm not always sure how other animals think of me beyond, not a threat to defend against.
