My request for a leave of absence from work for JobCorps was not approved.  Looks like I'm quitting.

Take that, employment! Have you turned in your two weeks' (or whatever) notice?

Unfortunately even if my department manager had been able to get in contact with me a week ago, it would still be too short to be two week's notice.
