WI Pre-Trip
So basically the entire reason I went to Wisconsin on 1/19 was to attend LJ hellsop's birthday party. It was also a first face-to-face meeting. I gave the boyfriend more advance warning than my parents and. . .well the boyfriend is the reason for the Social Bonding Explanation post.

So pre-trip I had to deal with his worrying.
Like first and foremost, you're seeing a guy with the name of Coffin?
He checked to make sure I know what a misanthrope is and that there are people who make friends online since they can't make friends online from the misanthropy. (Told him I have a misanthropic edge and defrayed his concern over the paths that could take me. Basically, I'm in the background for the majority of people and thus not likely that they're out to get me and lack of reason to bring them to the foreground to get aggravated by in the first place.)
Also made the mistake of using the term bloody goth, as in, he's just another bloody goth, in front of him. Yes, he's familiar with the Britishism, but he's had plenty of experiences with people describing themselves as vampires. The fact that hellsop and myself posters to a group of people with a standard joke of pretending to be zombies when accused of being vampires and redirecting people down other corridors to the vampires wasn't a help.
LJ oonh having met the guy before (the guy he finds nifty) didn't reassure him. So oonh trusting him to the point of encouraging me to get my ass to WI pre-boyfriend was irrelevant. I just let the comment of about men and implied expectations when women stay with them for a period of time slide. (Conversation bit post, I may have described him as a friend, but I've realized the conversation content marks him as one of the previous relationships that made sure, I'm not monogamous, were my first words after he asked if we could date.)
Day before the actual trip, I collected various periodicals and went to three New England Comics and Million Year Picnic. The boy tried to say, you can collect plenty of papers to read en route. The Friday for day one of travel I made sure to get-up early and wasn't going to fufill his desire to spend a bit more time in bed.

He asked me how my trip was on the day that I came back and I don't have much to report to you about that. Reported it in the positive and mentioned Macross got to remark, I don't even know your name and you're already stripping, since hellsop announced my arrival to Macross and geekers with a, Tenshi's here. The boy's mind had to take a moment to process that since I think a part of him is still adjusting to the fact that he's dating someone with a nudist streak.
Next time questioning came when LJ dali-muse and myself crossed paths in Million Year Picnic (comic books, 'zines, Harvard Square) since I told her I got to go to Peter's party. (No look of distress over me quoting Macross' remark from her.)
After introducing her and the bf and her having to get back to her workplace, the boy asked if he treated me all right. Still a positive review from me.
He hasn't asked me questions since, but I have a feeling we're going to go through this with new people for awhile.

Right now he knows I'm serious about someday going to WGW (and what is WGW.) I don't think it's sunk through that I'd go with people from online yet.
