Long Weekend in the Right Place
Mar. 12th, 2010 04:58 pmWednesday, the class found-out a girl who was a bit withdrawn had withdrawn from our Job Corps center and we were upset since we did like her there. At least I heard staff conversation later that makes it seem like she transferred to a different center instead of drop-out of Job Corps altogether.
Later, guy who isn't liked, even by the social group he's most likely to appear with (whether they like it or not) is in our class and tells us he's in our class next week. He's sick and tired of culinary.
Oh. Apparently if I haven't gotten my Network+ and have transferred to the Shriver Job Corps for Advanced Training, it's still possible to get my test paid for by Job Corps. But I'm still going to try to bust my ass to get the classwork completed for it by 5/28/10. Which also means I have a projected transfer date.
Anything I wanted to get done while still at Westover I need to get done now.
I've also used two personal days for Thursday and Friday which means I got to escape Wednesday night. Peter Pan wi-fi connection kept-on dropping me. Spent some time at the Diesel while waiting for Dante to pick me up at close (11 PM.)
Thursday I tried to come home unnoticed, but my mother was leaving for lunch right when I was arriving. So no leaving random objects out and confusing the parents as to how the objects got misplaced. After laundry I went to meet the ex and got to go to a noise show. Our ride to our crash space had to leave before the end, but at least I got to see enough of the 11 acts to lose track how many I got to see.
Had lunch in Chinatown with the ex at a new Vietnamese place. Unfortunately the food wasn't as flavorful as we were hoping. His jackfruit shake was good. Then he got a large Hong Kong tea and a piece of Swiss Roll at Eldo Cakeshop and Bakery.
After going to the bank and finding-out I got my federal, but not my state refund, I returned home. Don't feel like going to the storage locker so I'm pruning book marks, looking for a book mark I made on a model of netbook that might become my next netbook, and waiting for Dante to call me as to whether we're getting together for dinner or not. He's covered me for enough meals when I didn't have the cash on me that I feel like I owe him three meals. I've already covered one of them on the same night he let me try shisha (not my thing.)
