Wednesday and Thursday I had off and wanted to see the Gothic Glamour exhibit at the FIT museum before it would leave at the end of the week.  So I got to stay-over at djstorm's flat for two nights.

Wednesday I arrived in New York's Chinatown from Boston too late to go dick around the city too much, yet too early for him to just get-out of work.  So I took a walk-down Canal Street (and later would figure-out I wasn't far from the subway stop near his work) and back to 8 Mott Street.  (On the phone earlier, he told me I could wait for him at the arcade there and says that hardcore gamers travel to this arcade from around the world.)

So I had about 40 minutes to kill, determined myself to not be in the mood to buy a cup of coffee someplace, and actually paid attention to the no loitering sign by the arcade's entrance.  In other words, I decided to stand a little away from the arcade and read L Magazine and The Voice in the rain and cold.

After djstorm came/exclaimed about how it's an arcade! people loiter in arcades, we went to his dodgeball game.  All my gym classes in school played the battle royale version of dodgeball so I had him finally tell me how it's played when played as an actual team sport.  His team won against their initial opponents and lost against the second set of opponents.

We went back to his place.  Unfortunately said cold and rain discouraged us from the walk to the nearest White Castle.  It's an experience you can't get in Massachusetts due to the fact that you need zero hands, let alone fingers, to count the number of White Castles we have.  So instead we got Domincan food from a nearby joint to have at his place watched Repo!-The Genetic Opera.

The next day, I kept myself occupied by first going to The Center ( http://www.gaycenter.org ) and got a staff member to let me into the Keith Haring room.  So_much_cock.  This is where I wish I had a picture of the art to show a gay male friend of mine.  I'd probably make his head explode.

Then some window shopping starting with the Vampirefreaks Store.  Gothic Renaissance, Trash and Vaudeville, Village X, Purple Passion/DV8, and Halloween Adventure (listed on http://www.newgothcity.com 's site) were the other places I visited.

After the exhibit, we went back to his place and watched Goth Kill: Soul Collector, after he cooked some pasta.  I was too tired to stay-up longer, so I just went to sleep as he showed one of the housemates, Repo!

I got the 9 AM bus and 3 hours, 15 minutes later, arrived back in Boston.  Ran an errand in-town before going to work and then home.

The length of time writing this thing (45 minutes) has reminded me of why I don't actually do many updates to this LJ.

Meanwhile, there's so many unglanced MySpace blogs, they don't even all show on blogs page anymore.  I'm at 525 back LJ entries instead of 125 (most of them are communities I only glance at, fortunately.)

If I have more planning time next time, I'll try to see if any of you want to meet who live out there, especially if we haven't met face-to-face yet.
