Brains. . .and Balls
Jun. 30th, 2008 12:35 amSpent $24 to ride the Amtrak Downeaster from North Station, Boston to Portland, ME. Spent $10, plus $2 tip, on the cab ride to the Eastern Promenade and then walked to find Carterfield. Had fun watching Zombie Kickball. The participants made sure to add flourishes in character, like the zombie with a guitar played by hitting it and making zombie noises and had the other zombies sing along. After the game, I found the woman who's behind the MySpace page to introduce myself. Katherine was so happy that I traveled so far. Would have gone to the show afterwards at the Space Gallery, but after I timed my walk to the Greyhound station (22 minutes), the show should have started 19 minutes earlier and I still needed food. So I got cheese pazzo at a local Italian place and spent $19.75 on the bus back to Boston.
Decided to not call the bf and went to Dead Pool at One Kendall Place for my first time. Was going to leave at 10:30 since I was having enough of sitting there and people watching. Then a guy named Paul asked me if I wanted to play pool. He was ok with my disclaimer of being an inexperienced player so we played till 10:58.
(Hi. I don't want to have to pay for a cab instead of taking the bus after my subway connection and leaving later would have made me take a cab.)
