Regular Reading with More Commentary
Feb. 27th, 2008 09:32 amFree periodicals:
Improper Bostonian, 2/20-3/4
Stuff@Night, 1/29-2/11
The Noise, February
INSite Magazine, February
Fashion Boston, February (Only once have I spotted this somewhere other than near South Station. Previous times, I've come across it and it's the issue for the previous month. Thought that Lola's readers would be the same target audience. There was an ad for Lola in it and they're both owned by Boston Globe Media.)
New England Gaming News, February (which for some reason, I only see in or near South Station and no where else)
The Boston Bicycle Reflector, Issue 2, Winter '08
Helio, Winter 2007 (First time I've noticed an ad for the Helio phone beyond the magazine's name. The bf commented about the Helio phone being a hipster phone. That would explain the feel I've gotten from the articles.)
EdibleBoston, Winter (first magazine whose title makes the bf interest)
Comic books:
My Brain Hurts, Volume One, by Liz Baillie (Cat and Girl fans take note: a music store employee is wearing a Virginia Admitted to Statehood in 1788 shirt)
It Ate Billy on Christmas by Roman Dirge and Painty Paint by Steven Daily
Not going to get read, but collected during the journey to/from WI:
A Sandusky Bay Journal, Volume 4, Number 1, January
Syracuse New Times, 1/16-23
Bride and Grooms 08 (published by Syracuse New Times)
MKE, 1/17
Shepard Express, 1/17-23 (Milwaukee's Alternative Weekly)
Found a sheet from the 2/2007 Go that I kept because of the couple Bunny Rabbit & Black Cracker and mention of their debut album Lovers and Crypts (Voodoo-Eros Records)--as beatboxers.
