There was no unicorn in the garden. . .
Apr. 19th, 2006 11:36 amI walked-out of the house today. There's two guys. They're looking at the roof. So I walked-up to them. At first I thought one of them was asking if I wanted the chimney swept today, but then my gaze was directed upward and. . .whoa. One of them says to me that that's a turkey buzzard and that it's wingspan is probably longer than him. He's a bit taller than me and I'm only five foot even.
Unfortunately by the time I got back with my egg salad sub with pickles and Dr. Pepper, the guys and bird were gone. Hopefully they stayed long enough to see what I didn't get to see--the bird in flight.
There was no unicorn in the garden,
But there was a turkey buzzard on the chimney.
